And the winner is ……… well it could be Potters Grange 🙂
Potters Grange has been shortlisted in two categories in the national Care Home Awards 2023. The home has been nominated for Best for Nursing Care and Best New Care Home.
Potters Grange is very different to its corporate rivals; being family owned and run, it has an inherent ‘home from home’ feel to it. Its domestic scale is one of the things the judges noted in its Best New Care Home nomination, while the Best for Nursing Care judges focused on how the Nursing team are supernumerary to the care staff numbers. This enables them the time to really get to know their residents, their life history’s, likes and dislikes. Potters Grange nurses know so much more about the residents they support than just an understanding of any long term conditions they may live with.
Lesa McAnulty – Chief Operation Officer for Ardale’s Potters Grange said:
‘I’m thrilled that the hard working team at Potters Grange have been recognised with these two nominations. Everyone that visits the home is instantly struck by is naturally warm and positive atmosphere. I’m particularly thrilled that both these nominations are for team awards. Potters Grange is a beautiful, bespoke new build home, but it would be nothing without the talented staff team which brings the home to life.’
